Taman ujung karangasem built by a king of karangasem i gusti bagus jelantik , who holds anglurah anak agung agung ketut karangasem. at the beginning of almost 400 hectares , but now only about 10 hectares. most of the land has been distributed to the public during the land reform. this park is privately owned family puri karangasem. but the general visitors are allowed to visit him. the end of the park was built in 1909 on the initiative of anak agung anglurah. the architect was a dutchman named van den hentz and a chinese named loto ang. this development also involves a undagi (traditional balinese architect). taman ujung is actually the development of dirah pool that has been built in 1901. construction of taman ujung completed in 1921. in 1937, taman ujung karangasem inaugurated with a marble stele inscribed with texts in Latin script and bali and two languages malay and bali. The water palace built in 1948 by the raja of karangasem, anak agung anglurah ketut karangasem. tirta gangga water palace is a maze of pools and fountains surrounded by a lush garden and stone carvings and statues. the one hectare complex was built in 1946 by the late king of karangsem but was destroyed almost entirely by the eruption of nearby mount agung in 1963. it has been lovingly re-built and restored and has an air of authentic royal magnificence. the centrepiece of the palace is an eleven tiered fountain and there are many beautiful carvings and statues adorning the gardens. Temple of lempuyang luhur located in the mountain of lempuyang, karangasem regency, east bali. lempuyang temple also called the temple of thousand steps. 1,058 meters above sea level, hindu of named balinese the sad khayangan agung lempuyang luhur. that it is the place for hyang iswara and hyang agni jaya. throughout the way, you will see landscape, the beautiful panoramas of rice field and rivers and mount agung.
