The munduk waterfall Trek is 5-6 hour hike that takes you through lush clove and coffee plantations in the cool, mountainous Buleleng Regency. it connects four main cascades : melanting, labuan kebo, red corall and golden valley.
MUNDUK WATERFALL TREKKING DESTINATION
Munduk waterfall is one of natural waterfall in north of bali with beautiful landscape and many tropical spice. munduk village is small mountain village located at buleleng regency. munduk is a remote town in the north of Bali located between 500 to 1200 meters above sea level with average temperatures of 20 t0 30°C giving it slightly cooler than the lowlands on the coast . it is set on a ridge running from Danau Tamblingan in the hills to the south right through to Seririt on the coast in the north. the ridge falls steeply on either side into the valleys below, where distant paddy and spice plantations and also clove trees create a spectacular scene. the trekk take a time 2-3 hours
Munduk Waterfall Trekking Itinerary :
- 8:30 AM – Melanting Waterfall : Begin at the melanting trailhead. this is the steepest section, descend 500 stone and concrete steps down into the dense jungle canopy. you can hear the roar of the falls well before you arrive.
- 9:30 AM – Labuan Kebo Waterfall : Trek along the forest path to labuan kebo (approx. 20-minute walk from melanting). you will descend about 150 steps to reach a stunning double-tier cascade and cross a scenic bamboo bridge.
- 10:30 AM – Red Coral Waterfall : Follow the river trail deeper into the valley. red coral is one of the most famous falls in the area. it sits in a vibrant green amphitheater, and its cool pool is perfect for a refreshing swim.
- 11:30 AM – Golden Valley Waterfall : Continue walking past the river and up through the coffee and clove plantations. this beautiful waterfall cascades down a volcanic rock face.
- 12:30 PM – Lunch & Return : Head to local restaurant for lunch overlooking the highlands before heading back to your hotel.
